Clark Creek Falls is one of Haddam’s newest publicly accessible natural spaces—and the kind of place many people have driven past without knowing it was there.

From the small parking area along Route 154, a short path leads toward Clark Creek as it moves through a series of rocky cascades. The surrounding trails wind through woodland, past a beaver pond and the stone foundation of an early-1800s grist mill, bringing together natural beauty and traces of the land’s working history.

This is not a sprawling hiking destination. It is a small, quiet place for a short wander, a pause beside moving water, and a closer look at what has been sitting just beyond the road.
