ABOUT //
Devil’s Hopyard is one of the River Valley’s most beloved places to witness moving water. Chapman Falls tumbles more than sixty feet over a staircase of mossy stone, and the main viewing area is only a short walk from the parking lot.

Beyond the falls, wooded trails wind through the park, offering longer walks, birding, fishing, and quiet places beside the Eight Mile River. Come after a stretch of rain for the fullest waterfall, in autumn for color, or in winter when ice reshapes the ledges. It is an easy place to stop briefly—and spacious enough to spend an afternoon exploring.

GOOD TO KNOW //
• Admission and parking are free.
• The park is open daily from 8am to sunset.
• Leashed dogs are permitted in the hiking and picnic areas, but not in the campground.
• Pit toilets are available near the picnic shelter + Portolets are in the parking area
• There is no running or potable water, so bring your own.
• Swimming is not permitted.
