A stone castle above the Connecticut River, wooded trails + a wonderfully unusual piece of local history. Once home to actor William Gillette, best known for portraying Sherlock Holmes, this park invites you to wander his former estate, follow paths along his miniature railroad route, and take in sweeping river views.

Come for a hike + picnic, or book a castle tour to explore the imaginative details inside.

• Castle entry requires a ticket. Check the current schedule + reserve ahead.
• Leashed dogs welcome on trails + in picnic areas; not inside buildings or on decks.
