Follow an old estate road through the woods toward grassy floodplain habitat along the Connecticut River. George Dudley Seymour State Park combines river views + remnants of the former Clarkhurst estate, with interpretive signs that help tell the landscape’s story.

Come for a woodland walk, watch for birds in the grasslands, or explore the foundations left behind by the families who once called this place home.

• A walk-in park with limited parking at the end of Clarkhurst Road.
• Trails range from easy to moderate, with some uneven ground.
• Dogs welcome on a leash no longer than seven feet.
• Facilities are limited; bring water + carry out your belongings.
• Regulated hunting occurs in portions of the park. Check current hunting seasons + wear bright orange during hunting season.
